Four Month Catch Up
Our blogs are becoming more infrequent, however we’re still here doing our thing in Pickaway County Ohio. Our county fair is next week, so this week is full of all the final details like clipping and leading animals, securing costumes for the alpaca costume contest, scrambling to fill out 4H project books, and creating arts and crafts projects for competition.
We are once again participating in the Save Ohio Bees™ initiative. and now through June 26, 50% net proceeds of our products on the Marketplace help restore pollinator habitat and fund conservation programs with a matching gift from The Buzz Maker® on the first $1,000 raised. We have just 12 days left, and are half way to our goal. Some of the products in the marketplace to support this initiative would make great Father’s Day gifts. This initiave supports two beneficiaries: The Pollinator Partnership (P2), the world's largest nonprofit dedicated to protecting pollinators, and The Wilderness Center, which connects the community to conservation through education. It protects 3,380 acres in seven Ohio counties including 500 acres of wetland, and 13 miles of freshwater streams. I was lucky to grow up near the Wilderness Center and visited many times on school field trips and Girl Scout hiking adventures as a child.
We are still visiting the Worthington Farmer’s Market each Saturday, 8 am - 12, our booth located near House Wine in Worthington. Our employees Petyn and Becca typically staff the booth each week, giving us time to be with our kids on the weekend. It has been wonderful to have them help out, so we can enjoy family time and traveling. We’ll try to continue updating you on events as they arise, and as always, THANK YOU for the continued support of our farm.
